Different Types of Telescopes

Lots of people are natural born curios to many things such as curiousness on stars and outer space. Though many would say that the mystery behind stars and outer space is unexplainable, scientist and other researchers still try their best to give explanation to everything through the use of telescopes. A tool that is perfect for star gazing since it can magnify distant object and get a detailed view of it. And in the field of astronomy where stars are greatly studied and tackled, telescopes helps view a far away celestial object and some electromagnetic radiation. Thus, if you are already interested in owning one telescope, then you should learn that there are three basic types of telescopes. The category or types are mainly base on its function principles.
  • Space Telescopes – the main function of space telescopes is to help the astronomers study the sky well. All the things in the sky will be carefully watch and analyze, including the images that will be greatly captured with the lens of the space telescopes.
  •  Solar Telescopes – sun is one very important element in the sky that needs to be studied carefully by the astronomers. It is where all living things get light, energy and life. Without the sun, there would be no probably living things here in earth or no one would survive. Therefore, a telescope that is exclusively design to study the sun is perfect and called normally as the solar telescope.
  • Dobsonian Telescope – it is a low-cost telescope that is commonly used by amateur. Popularized by amateur astronomer John Dobson in the 60’s and has a simplified mechanical design. The readily available components make the dobsonian to create a large, portable and low-cost telescope.
Telescopes are indeed expensive instruments so therefore, if you are planning to invest for it, make sure that you have the right budget. Just always take note that the more capacity of the telescope to gather light, the better will be the image.

How to Shop For Telescopes – A Beginners Guide

A lot of people are quite interested with astronomy. The reason is not clear and sometimes vary from one person to another or maybe because it thrills them to know about the stars, planets and other celestial bodies. So, if you are one of those people, it is always a great idea if you acquaint yourself with telescopes and its contributions. You cannot go to the other space and study the stars – it is possible but you must be very rich in order for you to do that or maybe a genius scientist perhaps so your local government would finance your study. So, how can you possibly study those heavenly bodies? The answer is simple: through the use of telescope.

It is not surprising to know that many people find it hard to figure out what kind of telescopes they should go for especially those that are amateurs in the field of astronomy. Well, for once you know that you can’t buy a toy telescope as it will not help you but it is also obvious to you that as a beginner, it is impractical to invest into an advanced and high end telescope which will cost you thousands of dollars.

Because you are just starting out, it is of utmost importance that you make sure about your telescopes quality. As much as possible, choose a telescope that can give you the best view of the night sky. Just so you know, a quality telescope always imposed higher price too so be ready to pay at least $400. Of course, that amount is certainly inexpensive when compared to the prices of telescope used by professionals. However, for beginners, it’s a good start. Those telescopes will certainly give you a clear image of the sky and other heavenly bodies. You see, finding the perfect telescope for you is easy.
